Our machined aluminum rod holder extensions are available in three sizes 6″, 8" and 12″ and we have them in two styles one style fits Scotty® style rod holder mounts and the other style fits Fish-On® and Folbe® rod holders. The shafts are machined to mate in the rod holder mount and they have a flange bolted to the end that will except a rod holder mount. The flange has 2 positions that allow different orientation to the rod holder end.
The rod holder extensions are machined from solid 6061 T-6 aluminum on our CNC (computer numeric controlled) equipment.
These rod holder extensions are great for many different purposes. They can be used to mount barbeques to and we have a bolt kit for the barbeques. Simply use the flange as a pattern to trace the holes to the bottom of any barbeque run your bolts through the holes you drilled and fasten 4 bolts with nuts to the barbeque now with 4 wing nuts you have a barbeque mount with a quick disconnect. The nuts on the bottom of the barbeque will act as spacers for an air gap between the barbeque and the mount so the heat from the barbeque does not transfer to the plastic rod holder mount.
The rod holder extensions can be used to mount fish finders too, for a portable mount that will index too many different angles. We have also built a small bait cutting table for this mount, the bait table can be found in the fillet table section.
