The down rigger quick release mount is used to mount the Miller Marine Products Downrigger mount to our rail system. This mount will not work for other manufacturers rail systems. A sliding rail rod holder mount may also be used to mount our downrigger mount and will secure the downrigger. This mount is handy for quick install of the downrigger mount at any point on the rail. A rod holder rail mount can be used in place of this mount and will add a little more stable mounting and is suggested for the crab davitt setup. This mount works well for use with a downrigger.
