Rod Locker Rod Holder Pedestal Kit

Miller Marine Products Rod Locker Rod holder is our premier rod holder that is constructed from 6061 T6 aluminum and then clear anodized for corrosion resistance. This rod holder was designed with several goals in mind. I wanted to design a rod holder that could be strong enough for halibut or albacore tuna. I also wanted to design a rod holder that would cradle the reel in a solid position so a fish could be fought in the holder.

I wanted a child or a person with physical limitations to be able to fight and land a fish without having to support the rod. This was a challenging design concept that I worked on and off for over 8 years to develop. I was thinking about wounded soldiers and people with disabilities. I wanted people who could not support a rod with a large hard fighting fish to be able to land a fish without someone supporting the rod for them.

This rod holder has a quick release mechanism for removing the rod when the rod is loaded with a fish or unloaded. The rod holder features many adjustments to fit most any reel except spinning reels we have that covered with a tube style rod holder. The reel is cradled by four independently adjustable fingers with rubber tips to protect the reel.

The pedestal Rod Locker Kit is designed to mount on a horizontal surface and is adjustable in a vertical axis & horizontal axis every 10*. The kit can be purchased with a Strong Arm Dog Bone extension or without an extension. You may also combine two dog bone extensions to create an extension arm with a pivot point. The versatility is unmatched by any other product on the market.
